Today’s lesson was hard but very funny. I just discovery that my body can conduct my voice too, as the professor said: I have to trust in the process. At the beginning I didn’t understand, I thought that my voice is the one that has to conduct my movements, but it wasn’t the idea. The voice can not be the most important, it is very important the movements too. Give each 8 movements created the same importance as the voice and lyrics. It was hard to have coordination between the movements and the lyrics, because sometimes I forgot the movements or the lyrics. It’ was a little bit easier when we had to choose just a few works, those words engached me with the movements becase they came from the bottom of my heart and they were words of deep value for me. About the soft and heavy movements, maybe because I’m woman it was very difficult for me try to do heavy movements, I felt that my body couldn’t handle them very well. Maybe stereotype? Being a woman means to be delicate, soft, not too strong physically speaking? Well, those are things that I have to work on and develop to become a better performance.
